Dear students,
Our exam is near and as I promised you, I'm publishing the key to the exercises I gave you in class. I know it's a bit late and I would have loved to do it much sooner but my life lately is hectic.
Well, I do hope it is helpful. Good luck to you all!

Getxolinguae
Today I'm in Getxo, it's a bit rainny but nice. I have butterflies in my stomach for soon I will be presenting a group of teachers my ideas on education and blogging. I'll show them the blog you know and which you've been using to complement our classes and I will obviously show them your absolutely incredible creations!
I'm sure they will love them and I do hope more and more teachers get on this train.
I know it's been difficult for you and really challenging, I do know that you are not professional bloggers and I wish I had had more time to help you with the technical problems, but you know I have been pretty busy and worried about my father's health. So, thank you again!
I just think that when you love what you do, it is sort of contagiuos, and people, and students end up loving blogging, learning and knowing this new world. And I'm sure many of you will try to do a few more things. Keep on trying!, there's no better way to improve your English than practising it, and blogs open for you a door to a world of infinite possibilities!
Well, I'll stop talking now
I will see you very soon!

On the side bar, I have inserted some gadgets, you are invited to add some others too. Some of the gadgets I have put are links to our blogs, links to your favourite sites, two lists -favourite books and favourite films, which you can complete with some more- and a couple of pictures.
As I said, if you have any serious technical problems, write here a comment and I will receive it in my mail.
Good Luck to those who haven't finished yet!

Activities for your blog
So far I have just been designing activities for you and I think it is time now for you to publish something of your own. Before you start, it may be a good idea to have a look at my blog and see what it is in it and check other blogs too.
I have made a list of activities for you to choose from and I have created two blogs, one to give you instructions and help you with technical problems, where you will find a step-by-step guide on how to create and customize your own blog. And one just for you to publish your work.
Ana's How to blog
Cyberstudents Intermediate
Visit first Anuskis' how to and you'll learn how to do things and get some ideas.
Then, talk to your partner and decide how you are going to plan your work. If you gave me your email address, I will soon send you an invitation to sign up on the blog and thus you will be able to publish your work.

Treasure Hunts
Treasure Hunts are a kind of reading comprehension exercise, which normally consists of a list of links to different websites on a selected topic for you to visit and a set of questions for you to answer.
They are also called Scavenger Hunts and you will find plenty of them on the Internet. In this blog, you will find some, which I have specially designed for you (go to the Treasure hunts folder or to the reading section), but you can find some more at my old website. Here you have two links:

Would you like to know more about the country where The Lord of the Rings was shot?, if you've seen the film you will probably know that NZ has beautiful landscapes but what else do you know about this remote country?, do you know that it is the land of extreme sports?, that it is the birthplace of bungie-jumping? You don't know what bungie-jumping is?, then you really can't miss this site!

Fables: The Hare and the Tortoise
The Hare and the Tortoise is a famous fable by Aesop, dating back to the 6th century BC
You are first going to read the fable and try to fill in the gaps with the correct words, click here for the exercise:
Thehareandthetortoise.htm
Then, you may want to read it again, check if it has any sense and see if you can pronounce all the words. If there are any unknown words you can look them up at Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary but if there are just a few words you don't know how to pronounce, you can listen to them as many times as you want at Howjsay.com
When you think you are ready, you can listen to me reading the fable and check your answers here: The Hare and the Tortoise or go to AesopFables.com to read and listen to it
Finally I recommend you visit this website: Fables from Aesop and listen to a very nice adapted online version of the fable by Tom Lynch.
You can download audio-files with many fables (and many other books!) at Librivox, which you can copy on a CD or store in your MP3 player to later listen to them
