Welcome to Learning guides

As sometimes it may be difficult for you to find things in the blog, I have started designing some new learning guides which will help you find your way in the blog and outside. The guides are meant to be a selection of links and exercises to reinforce and extend what we have learnt in class in each unit, they are not compulsory and you may choose just to do some of the exercises, which I am sure can be of good help to you.
I hope you like them!

Postcard from Mallorca

Dear student,
I was lying on the beach listening to my favourite music when I suddenly thought of you. Yes, I know I am on holidays but it's difficult to forget you all.
I thought to myself we are almost on the second half of the month and some of my students may be thinking that they should start reviewing for their exams. Yes, as a matter of fact, you should have started much earlier. Well, any how. You want to study for your exam but you would also love to enjoy the sun, here is the answer.
Go to itunes website and download itunes in your computer, then search for some audiobooks and podcasts and download them. Transfer them to your MP3 player, go to the beach and enjoy the sun!
You want to do some reading. Google your favourite topic!
You want to do some exercises, check the links on the list on the right side of this blog or google ESL exercises or whatever!
Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you soon!
Ana

My avatar, Anuskis Klotzel, has been to different places, specially to educational ones, and she has talked to teachers in the USA. You can see here a picture of herself at EDTech, a place for research on the educational potential of SL.
Would you like to try it too? You have to download the programme, create your avatar, and then search for places where you can practice your English. I can tell you there are many. When I know more about it, I will give you some landmarks (places to visit).
