Talking about sport
Look at these pictures and talk about the different sports you can see.
1. Are they played indoors or outdoors?
2. Are they individual or team sports?
3. What kind of equipment do you need?
4. Would you like to practice any of them?, why?, why no?
5. How could you benefit from doing any of these sports?
6. Is there any other kind of sport, which has not been featured, that you would like to try?

Raising money for a charity
Have you ever considered giving money to a charity such as Vicente Ferrer Trust? Read about their approach, what they have done so far, how they help the communities of Anantapur in India, and learn about their future plans.

Read in English, if possible, about other charities and the work they do, for example The Red Cross, Acnur,Caritas,Oxfam,Acnur, ... (here you have a list: and consider which one would you give money to.

My friends' picture
This is a picture of my friends, it was taken two weeks ago in Playas de Muro. At the back we can see the beautiful sea and the sky full of clouds, it had been raining a little bit but as we were wet we didn't care. At the front we can see the beautiful sandy beach of Playas de Muro, and in the middle my friends. Nicole and her children are German, they live in Berlin and they usually spend their summer holidays in Mallorca, and my friend Celia, who is at the back, is Spanish.
The two Children are blond, Lucas is older than Nuno, who just turned in two years ols two weeks ago and Lucas is about to be six. Nicole and Celia are in her thirties, they are a bit younger than me. Nicole is very slim and has fair short hair though this summer she's been to the beach so much that she's almost blond. Celia has long fair wavy hair, and the only one who has shoulder-lenght brown curly hair is me but I'm not in the picture.
In the picture they are playing and taking pictures because they are coming back soon to Germany and won't come back until next year. It was a bit cold because the sun had already set but we had been swimming when the sun was shining.
Nicole and Celia are my best friends and Lucas is my God son. I get on very well with the two of them. I see Celia more often because she lives in Mallorca and we meet every week for a baguette and a few drinks and we chat a lot. Celia is a bit quiet and slow but I like her very much, she prefers lying on the beach rather than swimming. Nicole on the contrary loves swimming just like me but she always wants to see the sun set and Celia complains about the mosquitoes. Nicole is not so extrovert as Celia, but she's warm and kind, she's very indecisive, unpunctual, disorganized and she's a bit picky with the food as she is vegetarian and she doesn't eat seafood becuase she's not used to it., I never know how they manage to pack all their things to come back to Germany. Lucas is a bit shy and loves reading and playing games with Celia and Nuno can't speak yet but makes strange noises and he is very fun.
I don't know what they are wearing, but surely not the bikini because it was a bit wet and cold.

Welcome
There's a lot you can do to practice your English. I hope this blog can help you a little bit.
You'll find on the right the folders, look for Intermediate 1 or 2 to see all for each level, or IntUnit1 for just each unit. Soon I'll also group them by term, at the moment just click on first term.
You can look for topics for speaking and writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and guides and links to help you learn.
Beneath you have links to practise the different skills and some other interesting links.
I hope you like it. Good luck!
